Canadian Tire Jump Start is a community-based charitable program that helps kids ages 4-18 in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation such as the Brampton Bulldogs. The Pat Marsden Foundation is a charitable foundation with a mission to provide financial help to needy kids. Sports grants are available to kids aged 6-15 whose parents/guardian can’t afford the cost to “get in the game”. Grants are available to a maximum of $500. Applications must be received at least 60 days prior to start date. Applications will be reviewed in February and August annually. Sponsor will be contacted within 30 days following the review. KidSport Ontario is a program designed to assist young people who wish to participate in sports. This organization’s local chapters partner with charitable and community-based programs to raise funds for kids’ sports opportunities. KidSport offers grant opportunities to individual youth athletes participating in a sport activity through the Sport Alliance of Ontario. The grants are used to cover registration fees and equipment costs. The grants are awarded to children ages 6 to 17, and the amounts vary.
